This little girl is rapidly becoming one of my favorite humans on this planet. (right behind her fiercely bearded daddy and the other tiny humans trying to run my life!!-- although, lets be real, that oldest kid is hardly tiny any more!)
Back to the baby...

She's figuring out her hands. She reaches and grabs things, often bringing them right to her mouth. She is still getting the hang of it, and there are lots of drops and failed attempts, but she sticks with it!
This spoiled girl (and sadly, I'm pretty sure she is going to be that youngest spoiled kid I always swore I wouldn't have.... it's hard to avoid!!) has so many places to sit!
Look at those rolly rolls!! ....and her band-aid from her immunizations. She was a champ at the 4 month appointment with only a few tears and after a snuggle from mom there was even a smile for the nurse!
She also has a swing and a johnny-jump-up chair. They are definitely in the rotation.
She has been fully assimilated into our quirky family, and game night would now be incomplete without her little kicks and coos.
In all honesty, game night was actually most helped by her spontaneous napping, but we like her all the same.
She still refuses bottles or binkies. She has some pretty clear opinions about things and is NOT easily swayed. She has learned that she likes the first two fingers on each hand, and she makes the most squelchy, loud mouth noises with them. (if you know me at all, you know I HATE mouth noises, so it's really just a special treat that she has also moved into her own room to sleep at night!)
Feta is growing and developing on schedule. In fact, at her 4 month appointment she weighed 15 pounds and 1.5 oz!! It's safe to say she likes to eat.
While we were there, her doctor noticed that her head circumference is slightly smaller that we would like, and her fontanelle (the soft spot on top of her head) feels smaller than is considered normal, so we have a check-up in a few weeks with a possible x-ray if the concern is warranted. I'm trying not to be too nervous about it until there's a reason to worry, (not easy for me) but as the days have passed since the appointment I am feeling better about it.
One day at a time-- we'll cross whatever bridge comes when we get to it. Faith and trust. Maybe a little bit of fairy dust from this little sweetheart and we'll be just fine.
