Just a summer ago....
We really WERE busy! We traveled and visited and celebrated!!
First- a wedding dinner then wedding for Uncle Lon and his sweetheart, Liz!!
Grandpa Dee and some of the gang.
(and I do think Feta's photography is coming along nicely...)
That next morning The Doctor had a minor visit to the ER
Gall Stones.... But not enough to get in the way of a wedding!
Then off to the Provo City Center Temple... SO pretty!
Then our very own Sockie turned NINE!!
Do you see that cake!?! It's the handiwork of our own Aunt May-May. She's a geniuths.
We celebrated, in part, by going to Lagoon and playing way too hard to take many pictures.
The big rides were enjoyed! (and Grapes may have lost a pair of glasses...)
and fun was had by ALL.
Special thanks to Amanda and Natalie for being our partners-in-fun for the day!
We visited Grammy-
We hung out with the Whiting /Fixmer clan
and then we attended ANOTHER wedding!! Uncle Shane and sweet Adela!
After that, the Doctor had to zip back to Arizona to work.
So Aunt Kelsey road tripped with us (again) to Star Valley and then back to Arizona after that.
We stopped at my childhood waterfall/picnic spot.
We visited Grandma Ida and Grandpa Dee
We ate at the Red Baron (twice!) Once for lunch and then again after our hike for shakes.
THE SHAKES!!
And we hiked the famous Intermittent Spring trail!
(and ran into my dear friend Kara along the way! SV is a small world)

Then back to Grandma and Grandpa's for some barn/four wheeler time!
This barn was built when I was little. It represents SO much of being with Grandpa. The smells... leather, meatal and musty hay, horse bodies and horse poops... especially the smells. But also the depth of lived-in-ness. It is layers of tack and buckets of grain, it is old nails and bent brushes and so much time....layers of time. Like this ladder. It's got horse shoes, and spurs, iodine and who knows what else...It goes up to a loft, but the rungs have always been covered in stuff. I remember always wondering how one would ever actually go about getting up to the loft...
The barn is also the place where four wheelers begin and end!
We also took a brief visit to the Freedom Cemetery, to visit my dad's headstone.
(Note Pencil's sad face. He was trying to show his sense of loss about his Grandpa. He only met my dad once, when he was about 4 months old.)
