Are you seeing this deliciousness??
This girl is getting so big (and by big I do mean chunky!) But more than that she is figuring herself out and it's been SO fun to watch.
She's my little side-kick. She goes wherever I go, and we do it in style. This is at gymnastics with Pencil. (see him upside down with Miss Carrie?)
Feta likes gymnastics! Also, she likes her Georgie Giraffe. He goes with us everywhere!
One morning she woke up and Pencil got to her first. He gave her 'a' toy to make her happy.
This is what I found.
Those brothers can't get enough of her.
The most common fight in the house right now is who is getting more attention from her/who can make her laugh the most.
It's both delightful and grating at the same time.
She has very nearly mastered rolling back to tummy.
On her tummy she doesn't try to roll, she scrunches her legs up under her
and then sometimes scoots forward when she straightens back out.
We've started eating real food. (just rice cereal so far) She can't get enough.
She's 16 pounds and 24 1/2 inches.
She grabs everything! (most of it goes straight to her mouth)
She likes to try drinking out of mom's cup (we use the word 'drinking' liberally. More accurate terms would be bubbling, dribbling, and licking)
She knows that if her fingers connect with a phone screen it will scroll, and she will try endlessly to do it.
We met up with the neuro-surgeon in Phoenix about her head, and she said everything is looking within the range of normal. She suggested keeping her up-right more of the day, and also moving her out of the cradle and into the crib at night. Both things will help to change the points of pressure on her head, allowing it to grow all around instead of more in one direction.
Feta does not need surgery, or a helmet, or even a head 'band'. An answer to prayers!
Sadly, she had begun to sleep pretty well in that cradle... the transition to crib has been less successful. Rumor has it I look good with only two or three hours of consecutive sleep, though, so we're going with it.
