We're jumping in and getting serious now, people. Let the epoch picture chaos of pictures (that no one but me really cares about) BEGIN!
Event #3: Hogle Zoo with Grammy. Lon, Kelsey and the boyfriend.
Event #4: Our favorite DAD joined our Utah crew and the party really began! (Ok, let be honest, the party was really just lots more of the phone tag/waiting for insurance company people to figure out what would be happening to the late Fred and what that might mean for our travel plans. My recounting of
Event #1 made it sound like an in and out thing. It may or may not have been a accurate portrayal of actual events.)
Event #5: not so much an actual event, but more of a documentation of what my kids think happens at Grandma Jen's
| Chocolaty cereal in the easily visited pantry. At all times. |
| All access ipad. Intended for grandchildren entertainment. Of course. |
Ok, so the real event: A visit to a new museum near the University of Utah. (I am guilty of being along for the ride and hence knowing only sparse facts about this nice place)
| Talking dino statue. He asked for money. My kids thought it was so great. |
| Beautiful skunk, I mean, sister-in-law. |
| another beautiful buggy, I mean, sister-in-law |
| Patient Grandma at the water attraction. And my drenched kids. |
| Did you see that guy? |
| Our little escape artist found this cool room and played by himself for a while until his family finally showed up to play with him. He wasn't too worried that he was alone, but maybe we were. Just a little. |
| Just jumping from a ledge that was taller that he is. Repeatedly. |
The Whiting clan enjoyed the water-flow table!
So much so that I had to remind some of the taller members of the party that other museum patrons may want a turn. |
| Evidence I was really there: my silhouette in the gemstone glass display. |
Later that day (event #5 continued?)
We took a mini-trip to watch the fireworks!
| Hey, sisters! Lean in for a cute picture! BONK! |
| Ow! Ha haa haha! |
| Ok, now we're cute. |
| Three generations of this delightful profile. |
Event #6: A new van. This was a life experience. A milestone. One we weren't really ready for, but what can you do?
I'm very thankful The Doctor's dad came with us. (And that the kids did not!)
It took ages longer than we thought it would. (Bleh on that dealership and their slow paperwork people!) But a few hours of patient(-ish) waiting later...

| Meet Clifford! Our Big Red Van! |
